What is PodcastCon Cruise?

PodcastCon Cruise follows the open space/unconference model and focuses on one topic: podcasting. This format allows participants to suggest and facilitate sessions, resulting in an event that appeals to the interests of the participants. No keynote speakers; no long and boring formal sessions. The informal nature of PodcastCon permits participants to come and go as a particular session fulfills its usefulness to them. Think of it as multiple round tables. In addition to scheduled topics, participants also have the ability to create adhoc gatherings to investigate particular topics in more depth. You can discuss podcasting 24-hours per day if you choose.
Please note that this is an evolving process and times and topics are subject to change until finalized.
Most exciting is that this conference combines the opportunity to expand your podcasting knowledge with expanding your horizons by sailing to the Bahamas. Tentatively, mornings will be free to explore the port, and sessions will take place from 2-7 pm.

How Does it Work?

Topics for the sessions are suggested by participants. You may suggest a topic or offer to facilitate a discussion. Look below for suggestions and/or go to the sidebar and click on contribute to add your own suggestion in the appropriate area of this wiki. Onboard, in addition to the pre-arranged sessions, there will be the opportunity to organize adhoc sessions as the need becomes necessary. For example, you might find a point brought up in one session that you feel demands further discussion. You can set a time and place to meet and pursue that discussion. There is plenty of space to meet on the ship and it's easy to suggest that a group get together over meals to engage in discussion.

How May I Help?

Fortunately, using the cruise ship as a venue takes care of some of the logistics like food, beverages and space.
However, we could still use assistance in the areas listed below. Please add your name to the job that interests you.

Badge Design
Can you quickly put together a badge that can be used online and perhaps on giveaways?

Promotion
Can you promote PodcastingCon Cruise on your podcast and/or blog?
Can you get the word out on other media to attract participants? - Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Facilitators
Are you passionate about a certain aspect of podcasting and willing to share your expertise by facilitating a session?
Is there somebody you would like to see offer a session?

Sponsors
Know anybody who would sponsor T-shirts, giveaways, printing, shipping, cocktail hour, lanyards, door prizes, etc.?

What's the schedule?
